Thank you so much to each and every one of you for the many things you did to help with this campaign. We did get 6,659 votes–but it was not enough to win. I am deeply grateful for your enthusiasm for my efforts, generous contributions, & the energy you gave to generate campaign momentum.
I am so proud to have been associated with such a intelligent, enthusiastic, driven and goal-oriented candidate. Newton residents need to open their eyes and ears and heart so they may gravitate towards talented people such as Olivia, help us regain the national reputation we once had for excellent schools. We need more Olivias in Newton, to keep the School Committee on their toes, and remind them we are watching their every move. Although Olivia may have lost this time around it was a blast going the distance. The incumbents retained their seats, but boy did we make them work for it! Good healthy competition is the American way.
